Three years ago to the day (February 21) this fan club began writing its illustrious history debuting as “MetroNation,” a supporters club for the now “defunct” MLS franchise, the MetroStars!  Speaking of MetroStars, the magnanimous Nick Sakiewicz (former MetroStars GM) is at it again, preparing to introduce an MLS franchise in Philadelphia.  Maybe the Sons of Ben will go easier on him than ESC did . . . DOH!!

Enter Red Bull, and in 2006 we survive tumult and unrest and reinvent ourselves as RagingBullNation, showing our solidarity with the new ownership and MLS club identity!!  DO NOT TREAD ON US!  We will survive, and we have survived!

WHEW!  With every year that passes by, our special group of soccer fans gradually grows.  Whether “new arrivals” in our Red Bull family or new acquaintances are brought into The Corral, everyone is welcome, who share our Mission and Vision.  It seems like just yesterday we hoisted . . . uh . . . correction . . . HOOKED our MetroNation banner on the chain link fence to the right of Gate D for the first time . . . amidst a literal MONSOON, mind you!!!

It is late evening after an exhausting day in northern Virginia.  However, I did not want this special day to go unrecognized.  Some of us have endured the years, some of us have fallen to the wayside, and some of us have moved on.  Regardless, we still attract fair-dinkum soccer fans to our ranks!!

Thanks to ALL OF YOU, who have made our 3 years of existence so much fun!!!  I am already looking forward to #4!!!!! :-)  They say “Three’s a charm.”  Let’s hope that equates to an MLS Cup for Red Bull New York this season!!!!

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though.  We must take one match at a time, and it will begin with the Red Bulls Season Opener on April 5 against the Columbus Crew.  We will be there in Lot 15 B/C near the South Tower entrance of Giants Stadium braving the elements (usually, at this time of year) at our Roadside Roundup.  Why not join us for some pregame celebration and postgame festivities in the Bull’s Corner Pub?
