Chief's BULLog: Make Way for the “New and Improved . . .”

“Beware of the Ides of March . . . and January 15, 2007″ — Shakespeare

Why? Because www.RagingBullNation.net will have some “downtime” to regroup for next season. On January 15, THE Webmatador will be working dilligently in the off-season to enhance the already kick-butt site; not to mention the beginnings of our exclusive “Nationals Only” section of our site. The title of this section should be self-explanatory. So, what are you waiting for?! It is only fitting that during the tumultuous time of year for MLS, we jump in and join the “Reorganization Rally.” It is necessary, but we think you will really like the changes. So, if you are already misty-eyed and mystified (NOTE: they are two different words with entirely different meanings ;-) ) about us taking down our site, there is always the RagingBullNation Board on BigSoccer! Continue to let your voices be heard throughout cyberspace!!!

Speaking of revamping for the new season, I cannot say that the retirements of Jolley and Henderson came as a surprise. However, I deeply respect their contributions to MLS, and specifically, to soccer in the Tri-State area. They will be missed, but not forgotten. Thank you, Steve and Chris.

That is about the most drama we have to discuss thus far from the Red Bull camp. Although, I ran into Marc DeGrandpre the other day, and asked him point-blank about what news we can look forward to in 2007 . . . “There might be something in the works . . .,” he replied with a wry grin. So, stay tuned on www.nyredbulls.com. Oh, and in the shorter term, tune in to the 2007 MLS SuperDraft next week! Who will join the ranks of the RagaingBullNation 2006 Heart of the Bull Award recipient, Marvell Wynne II, as the first-round, first pick?!

Well, I guess my first post for 2007 is somewhat anti-climactic, but we are actually relying on the New York Red Bulls to liven the boards and news wires up with some awesome acquisitions, trades, this year! I know I do not talk much about our informal web site polls, but nearly 64% of poll respondents think the Red Bulls will win the 2007 MLS Cup!! That’s a good show of confidence, no?

As www.RagingBullNation.net bids adieu on January 15, you will be sure to know when we are back up, hopefully in time to invite all to our SECOND birthday party in February! As you know we have been busy during the offseason with “behind-the-scences” stuff to continually grow and improve from season to season, offering current and prospective Red Bull fans a unique way to enhance their “Red Bull Experience” ALL YEAR LONG!

Incidentally, we were not the only ones busy during this off-season . . . It seems as though we will add one more National to our ranks sometime in August 2007! Congratulations, to “Shaggy” and Raime!!! :-)

YIRB,

CT

PS

Until we meet again, some photos for you!

Which Christmas cookie DEFINITELY belongs?

Greeting you in the RBFO foyer!

One if by Land, Two if by Sea in NYC . . . (Three if by Air . . . enter the Red Bull Skydivers at the home opener in 2007 [April 15, 3:00 PM])?????
